After graduating, she spent several years working in children’s publishing, helping authors bring their brilliant ideas to life, before becoming a writer herself.She now lives in the Oxfordshire countryside near the River Thames with her husband and two wild and wonderful children. When she’s not writing, she can sometimes be found running along the river, exploring her local library, getting muddy on woodland walks or searching for inspiration in the world around her.Emily writes for children of all ages, from picture books and non-fiction to middle-grade stories. She earned a BFA in Animation & Special Effects from the Academy of Art University in San Francisco, specializing in Storyboarding. Today, Hayeon works as a freelance illustrator and is represented by Astound US.
