‘Durkheim is not dead. After a long period of profound misunderstandings, his work is now increasingly recognized as a fascinating source of inspiration for the social sciences, especially in areas concerning religion and the sacralization of secular content. This Companion enriches our knowledge with a wealth of highly original contributions from outstanding experts on Durkheim's work.’
