'Most trauma textbooks are written from a surgical perspective. Trauma: A Comprehensive Emergency Medicine Approach stands apart in that it is aimed toward practising emergency physicians, residents, nurses, and nurse practitioners, as well as internists and family physicians … The book is a delight to read. The editors are to be commended for maintaining a consistent style, language, and organization across the chapters. The writing is clear and concise, and the chapter lengths are digestible; with few exceptions, each chapter can easily be read in 30 to 45 minutes.' Journal of the American Medical Association
