R. Lanier Anderson is J. E. Wallace Sterling Professor in Humanities and Professor of Philosophy at Stanford University. He is the author of The Poverty of Conceptual Truth (2015) and articles on Kant, Nietzsche, Montaigne, and relations between philosophy and literature. With Joshua Landy, he directs Stanford's Philosophy and Literature Initiative. Karen Zumhagen-Yekplé is Associate Professor of Comparative Literature and English and affiliate of the Stone Center for Latin American Studies, and Cinema Studies Program at Tulane University. She is author of A Different Order of Difficulty: Literature After Wittgenstein (2020) and co-editor, with Michael LeMahieu, of Wittgenstein and Modernism (2017).
