Jensen Moore, Ph.D. is an associate professor of public relations at the University of Oklahoma's Gaylord College of Mass Communication at the University of Oklahoma. Frisby, Ph.D. is a nationally recognized authority on media portrayals of minorities, athletes, women, and teens. Her work, centering around concepts involving media literacy and cultural competency, has been highly influential and widely cited. Dr. Frisby also investigates race and gender representation in popular media and in sports media. She also conducts studies focused on persons of color and their attitudes and behaviors in response to healthcare.
