This volume explores the interrelations between emotions, embodiment, and vulnerability through a phenomenological perspective. Scholars of philosophy, psychology, and psychiatry investigate how the fragilities of embodied existence shape emotions, how these vulnerabilities become visible in psychopathological conditions, and how they figure in therapeutic contexts. Hannes Gustav Melichar is a Research Associate at Heidelberg University Hospital, Principal Investigator of the Fritz Thyssen Foundation project The Nature of Reasonable Abilities, and Co-Leader of the IDEE project at the Heidelberg Academy of Sciences and Humanities.
