“In summary, this is a comprehensive and short text. It would be suitable for nurses and medical trainees in emergency medicine, paediatric specialties and anaesthesia.”  (The Irish Medical Journal, 1 March 2013) "As such it makes an excellent source of reference for those involved in paediatric advanced life support . . . I would recommend this book to any health professional likely to encounter an emergency situation." (Nursing Times, 6 December 2012)"It is a fundamental resource, noticeably reworked from its first edition, and is suitable for practitioners who come into contact with children in their sphere of practice." (Emergency Nurse, 1 October 2012) "Practitioners are given an easily digestible and portable text focusing on emergency situations involving children and care provision . . . Sub-headings provide clear markers and references after each chapter encourage the reader to engage with literature more effectively and read around areas of interest." (Nursing Children and Young People, 1 October 2012)"As a PALS regional faculty instructor for the American Heart Association, I feel this U.K. book accurately reflects the revised PALS guidelines and meets its intent to serve as a pocket-sized guide for pediatric life support." (Doody's, 10 August 2012)
