Tea Golob is an Assistant Professor and Research Fellow at SASS, Slovenia. Her research interests are linked to transnational practices, narratives and identifications in the European and global context.

• Contents: Transnational social fields – The EU – European identifications – Intentional deliberations – Social embeddednes – Habitus – Reflexivity – Instrumental identifications – Semantics – European civil servants – Linking ethnographic insights with contemporary social theory combining reflexivity and habitus – Addressing the instrumental nature of identifications resulting from the participation in the transnational social sphere – Reflecting transformed structural semantics and the tremendous changes of the individuals’ positions within the social context.
