Last Road North

Rosie Mitchell came to Alaska to disappear, but the past always knows where to find you. She knew her relationship was over the moment she saw Henry kissing someone else through a restaurant window. So Rosie does the only thing she can think to do: She leaves. While packing up her life, she uncovers a forgotten letter from a lawyer, four years old and never opened. Her estranged father has left her something unexpected. A remote cabin deep in the Alaskan wilderness. It feels like an escape. A chance to disappear. To put thousands of miles between herself and the past she is trying to outrun. Instead, she finds herself in a freezing, half-collapsing cabin in the middle of nowhere, questioning her decision. With only her gruff, quiet neighbour, Koda, for company, Rosie learns how to split wood, start fires, and survive the endless cold. Then the unease begins. A door left open. A shadow between the trees. That constant prickle at the back of her neck, the feeling that she is not as alone as she thought.
