"...offers a concise yet comprehensive introduction to diagnostic radiology, making it a very useful resource for radiology trainees, junior clinicians and radiographers.... Each chapter is clearly structured with logical subheadings, bulleted key points, annotated imaging and differential diagnoses.... One of the strengths of the book is its integration of multimodality imaging. Readers are guided through appropriate modality selection and interpretation, with examples drawn from CT, MRI, ultrasound and plain film. The quality of the images is consistently high, with annotations that enhance understanding without overcrowding the visuals.... In summary, this third edition of Diagnostic Radiology Essentials is an expertly curated modern teaching tool that continues to uphold the high standards of its parent text. It is strongly recommended for anyone seeking a structured and practical introduction to diagnostic radiology." Review by Dr David Maudgil, Consultant Radiologist, Wexham Park Hospital, Frimley Health NHS Foundation Trust, RAD Magazine, December 2025"This edition, updated respect to the previous one published in 2019, reaches 1040 pages, enriched by more than 2,000 high-quality images, including plain film, CT, MRI, and ultrasound, being fewer nuclear medicine images and those obtained with hybrid tools. An eBook version is included, allowing the access to text, figures and references, giving possibility to search, customize content, make notes and highlights, and have content read aloud.... The editorial choice has been based on images directly linked to relevant text on the facing page and each chapter utilize a concise, highly templated, bulleted format, covering Definition, Clinical Findings, Radiological Findings, and Pearls. Having been conceived for radiologists in training and in practice, being structured as a 'one-stop quick reference' to prepare for an exam or to answer the most frequently asked radiological questions in daily practice, this publication can be also helpful for medical students and for all those who want to acquire a complete, but not too analytical, technical and demanding, radiology text."
