It was David who captured the iconic images of Seve's 1984celebrations on the 18th green at St Andrews and David who recorded ChristyO'Connor Jnr's on the 18th at The Belfry in 1989 when his thrilling long-ironbrought home The Ryder Cup for Europe. In fact, David has photographed 19 RyderCups and 18 Solheim Cups, as well as 42 Open Championships. As of 2025 he willhave shot 40 Masters, plus countless other significant men's and women'sprofessional and amateur events around the globe.Michael Atkinson is a regular contributor to golfing titlesin the UK and USA including Bunkered Magazine and National Club Golfer. He isthe co-author of GOLFLAND SCOTLAND. His home club is the spectacular andhistoric links of Gullane in East Lothian.
