Fabian Kraemer teaches early modern history and history of knowledge at Universität des Saarlandes. His first book “Ein Zentaur in London: Lektüre und Beobachtung in der frühneuzeitlichen Naturforschung” (Didymos, 2014) has been awarded several awards, including the Prize for Young Scholars of the International Union of the History and Philosophy of Science, Division of History of Science and Technology and the Special Award of the Translation Program “Geisteswissenschaften International”. An English translation has since been published as “A Centaur in London: Reading and Observation in Early Modern Science” (Johns Hopkins University Press, 2023).Itay Sapir is an Associate Professor of History of Art, Université du Québec à Montréal.
