"We know Lavoie for her novels for adults. Here she offers us a cute text that will capture and maintain the interest of readers. A refreshing read that features a tiny, endearing and courageous kitty." — La Presse

The Curious Misadventures of Kitty the Cat is a hilarious story of a cat who never grows up. After wandering away from his mom and sibling, he's found in the forest by a little girl and moves with her into the city, where he finds adventure and makes new friends: Prémâché, the big cat of the alley; the spiders of the special arachno-intervention unit; Billy, the nice neighbour; and the parents of the little girl.

The cat will eventually learn that his mother still lives in St. Hilarion, and that he had better learn to speak gull if he wants to find her.

"An incredible story imagined by author Marie-Renee Lavoie that is really out of the ordinary, but really out of the ordinary! A little novel full of humour and fantasy, which is good for morale and makes everyone want to have a cat, even those who normally prefer dogs! A must read!" - Le Journal de Montreal"We laugh a lot when reading this first-person account of Lil Kitty. These misadventures that end well, told at the height of little paws, are delivered in a lively language, loaded with a lot of funny metaphors and set with cultural references that will make grown-ups smile." - Le Devoir"We know Lavoie for her novels for adults. Here she offers us a cute text that will capture and maintain the interest of readers. A refreshing read that features a tiny, endearing and courageous kitty." - La Presse"Very successful for a first novel for young people!" - Lurelu"With derision and intelligence, Marie-Renee Lavoie plunges us into the universe of a tiny cat, on whom adventures keep failing! Illustrated by the author, this novel will make you fall in love." - Les libraires
