Dr. Inrava Khasnabish, originally from Lexington, MA currently resides in Long Island, NY, and is seeing patients in the greater Queens-Long Island metropolitan area. She specializes in ocular disease and family practice. Dr. Khasnabish completed her studies at Massachusetts College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences (MCPHS) University in Boston and Worcester, where she pursued the seven-year BS-OD program. During her time in school, Dr. Khasnabish was a member of the Beta Sigma Kappa International Optometric Honors Society, and the recipient of both the Academic Achievement and Dean’s Merit Scholarships throughout her seven years at MCPHS University. She then went on to complete a residency in Ocular Disease and Family Practice at the Virginia Eyecare Clinic in Grundy, VA affiliated with the Pennsylvania College of Optometry at Salus University. Throughout her residency Dr. Khasnabish presented COPE approved lectures and posters and was also the recipient of the Residency Scholarship sponsored by the Virginia Academy of Optometry. Upon completion of her residency, Dr. Khasnabish moved to New York City where she has spent time working alongside cornea, uvea, and retina specialists in addition to providing pediatric care and trauma consultations at Richmond University Medical Center in Staten Island, NY. Dr. Khasnabish is a Board Certified Optometrist, a Fellow of the American Academy of Optometry (FAAO), a member of The Optometric Society of The City of New York (OSCONY), a member of the Nassau County Optometric Society (NCOS), and serves on the Ethics and Values Committee for the American Optometric Association (AOA) and Continuing Education Committee for OSCONY. She is a passionate member of the optometric community and has presented posters and COPE approved lectures to local and national conferences and contributed to national magazines. In her free time, she enjoys writing, cooking, exploring local art and culture, traveling the world, and spending time with her family.Dr. Tapuwa Chikwinya OD, MPH, FAAO, is an associate optometrist at the Federal Way Vision Center and owner of TLC Optometry PLLC, seeing patients in the greater Seattle-Tacoma metropolitan area. Dr. Chikwinya specializes in low-vision care, offering treatment and training to assess visual function, prescribing low-vision devices, developing treatment plans, and recommending treatment. In addition to low vision services, he provides primary eye care, ocular disease management, and pediatric eye care including myopia management. He received his Doctorate of Optometry from the Massachusetts College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences (MCPHS) University School of Optometry and also holds a Masters degree in Public Health. He completed his residency at the Illinois Eye Institute in Chicago, IL. Dr. Chikwinya is a Fellow of the American Academy of Optometry (AAO), as well as an active member of the American Optometric Association (AOA), Optometric Physicians of Washington (OPW), Pierce County Optometric Society (PCOS), and National Optometric Association (NOA).Dr. Joseph Muscente OD, MS, FAAO, is a graduate of SUNY College of Optometry in 1994. After completing Optometry school, Dr. Muscente completed a Residency in Hospital Based Optometry / Ocular Disease at the FDR VA Hospital in Montrose, NY. Dr. Muscente then became a clinical instructor at the SUNY College of Optometry and a staff optometrist at the Brooklyn VA Medical Center / St. Albans VA. Dr. Muscente is now an attending doctor at the Richmond University Medical Center in Staten Island, Dept. of Ophthalmology. There, he works closely with ophthalmologists, residents and students providing comprehensive medical eye care to all patients.
