Baptism in the Theology of Karl Barth in Biblical and Ecumenical Context

Ngun Cer Chin studied Christian Education in the Philippines, and Christian Theology in Myanmar and in Germany. She earned her PhD in Systematic Theology at the University of Regensburg, Germany. She is a pastor of Hakha Thar Baptist Church, she taught at Chin Christian University, Hakha, Chin State, Myanmar and currently serves as a pastor in Nurnberg Chin Christian Fellowship.

• This work is a thorough research on baptism in the theology of Karl Barth by examining two of his major works that emphasize ethical attitude in divine-human encounter in baptism. Barth's depiction of divine-human encounter is analysed from its biblical roots to its relevancy for ecumenical community.
