You Can't Slay Stuck

Christmas is almost here again and I need to slay my pain, but I'm stuck...

I don't care what anyone says, if crap doesn't try to rock them out of Christian sometimes, they're lying. Especially, stuff that hits at the Holidays. 

That hurt cuts different.

It's been a fight to remember what's in me, while operating with a heart, still lingering in the space and place where it happened. As quiet as it's kept, I'm holding on to the one I can't have, but letting go of the one I need most...God.

Then comes Major Hollands mending me like a quilt and using fragments and scraps to make me feel again. 

Every real woman knows, all we need is Dr. Jesus to write a prescription that looks a little like this-Good looking, Alpha male, Fine body, God-heart, All day everyday-to heal us whole.

But before I can embrace the prescription, I have to understand the revelation...You Can't Slay Stuck.

Chasity Danielle Evans is a thirty-eight year old African American female who feels a calling on her life to join the mission department at, Morning Light Baptist Church (Pastor Terry). She understands that missions mean a calling to bring people to the Lord, so because she feels ill-equipped, she begins to take classes at the local Christian Bible college.

There are men everywhere, so her plan is to sit in the back and avoid every brother. What she didn't plan on was getting really close to the guy who sits besides her... Thomas Caesar Crawford, who happens to be a white guy. After one year, Thomas changes her life completely by helping her both spiritually and financially. Then a years turns into a year in a half, then a year and nine month, and he finally succumbs to her advances and they go places neither should have ventured. Why? Because Thomas has some secrets. 

When things take a turn for the worse, Chasity finds herself broken and angry with the option lingering...close the door on God. But one Sunday service brings her face to face with herself and the inability to heal because instead of slaying the things that caused her pain, she's opted to stay stuck.

...But up pops Major Hollands. 

Will the secret of who Major is come out before he can explain to the woman he's fallen for or will he lose the best thing that ever happened to him for failure to be truthful?
