Apartamento is widely recognized as today’s most influential interiors magazine. International, well-designed, and simply written since 2008, it is an indispensable resource for individuals who are passionate about the way they live. Apartamento breaks the traditional magazine boundaries that separate home design from homeowner, and offers readers a glimpse inside the lived-in, often cluttered homes of celebrities and industry legends such as REM frontman Michael Stipe and indie screen queen Chloë Sevigny. The World of Apartamento is a celebration of the magazine’s 10th anniversary and features the best and most inspirational interiors from the publication’s pages. Like the magazine itself, the book is a carefully developed editorial mix—high-quality writing and beautiful photography—that communicates genuine stories and intimate moments. With more than 300 photographs and an eclectic mix of subjects like François Halard, Glenn O’Brien, Florence Welch, Paz de la Huerta, and more, the book is an inspiring look at individual design choices.

Apartamento is an everyday life and interiors bi-annual magazine. Founded in 2008 by Nacho Alegre and Omar Sosa, it has become a place in print for people, not just objects. In 2010, the magazine was awarded the prestigious Yellow Pencil Award, and the best complete magazine by the Designers and Art Directors Association (UK). Following 2010, Sosa left Folch Studio to live between Barcelona and Milan, working for his own clients and also taking charge of the art direction of the Corriere della Sera design magazine, Casamica. Alegre is a well-known photographer and art director who has shot for Vogue, GQ, and more. The magazine's headquarters are in Barcelona, with offices in Milan and New York City.

"Twice a year for the past ten years, Apartamento magazine has offered a look inside the world’s greatest homes. The word home, rather than house or interior design, is key with the magazine’s ethos. In showing readers the bookshelves, bedspreads and balconies of extraordinary people, the publication offers continuous mounds of helpful advice into how to live life happily, clutter and all. With back issues hard to track down by now, Apartamento fans will be pleased to hear that an anniversary tome looking back through issues has now hit the shelves."
