Redmond shares stories of five WWI veterans including Frank Buckles the last American survivor of the war. You will meet Lieutenant Richard Cole who was co-pilot with Colonel Jimmy Doolittle during the Raid on Tokyo in World War II, Tuskegee Airman Colonel Charles McGee, who holds the Air Force record of 409 combat flights in WWII, Korea and Vietnam, and many more, including Rosy the Riveters, nurses who were in the fields of combat before it was allowed, a Vietnam tunnel rats story, Sergeant Smith who recalled saving General Eisenhower's life, and Yeoman Charlotte Winters who convinced the Secretary of the Navy that women should be permitted to serve in the military.
