(1959 – 2020) Originally from Yorkshire, Dominic Smart was minister of Gilcomston Church in Aberdeen from 1998 to 2015. An author and conference speaker, he was married to Marjorie and they have four grown–up children.

”Here Christ himself is at the centre and grace is the first item on the agenda. ‘When We Get it Wrong’ helps us grasp why the gentleness and ruthless commitment of Christ’s love belong together. Just the book we need to strip bare the soul and recalibrate our Christian lives.“Sinclair B. Ferguson(Chancellor’s Professor of Systematic Theology, Reformed Theological Seminary)”… not only enables serious Christians to think about discipleship in a biblically faithful way, but focuses wonderful attention on Jesus Christ himself. This will start us off on the right foot, and contribute to a lifetime of discovering what it means to confess Jesus as Lord.“D. A. Carson(Emeritus Professor of New Testament, Trinity Evangelical Divinity School, Deerfield, Illinois)”I felt as if I was in my favourite armchair, sitting by a blazing wood fire, listening to Dominic open the Word and share from his heart. Through these warming truths from the life of Peter, I was ministered to, encouraged and blessed. I could have ‘listened’ all night. Draw up a chair, read and enjoy, and you will know exactly what I mean.“Roger Carswell(Evangelist and Author)”This book rocked me back on my heels, brought me down to my knees and set me up on my feet to love and follow Christ with fresh understanding and renewed zeal. Only read if you’re prepared to be challenged and changed.“Alistair Begg(Founder, Truth for Life)
