Gordon is Professor of Philosophy and Africana Studies at the University of Connecticut, Storrs; European Union Visiting Chair in Philosophy at Universite Toulouse Jean Jaures, France; and Nelson Mandela Distinguished Visiting Professor at Rhodes University, South Africa.
