The needs of the world’s population now exceed the amount of water available for water supply and irrigation. With economic stagnation and political conflicts dominating the news, ignoring water and the environment matters results in far greater risks to life.Based on successful case studies collected and studied over 50 years, the aim is not only to show what needs to be done but, equally importantly, how to do it. The main theme running throughout is the need to capture and store more rainwater, and to reduce water use in communities, in irrigation and in industry.
