I was born in the sizzling summer of June 1976. I struggled at school, but after I left, I began my working life as a print finisher, continuing for 23 years. When I later changed career, I became a Support Worker for underprivileged children. I am deeply committed to my work and to my wife and our family. I would never describe myself as academically adept, but some years ago I discovered a passion for writing. This surprised me. At that time I could not spell very well or form grammatically correct sentences. Determinedly, I sought help and guidance from family and friends, and I practised diligently. The outcome was that I began to write poetry. This venture later blossomed into publications and performances that always received positive feedback. I always write from my heart, with imagination, humour and sincerity. I would like my words to transport the reader or listener to other places, where new things can be thought about or experienced. I hope you find my poems entertaining, thought-provoking and enriching.
