Beskrivning
One of the greatest books ever written about the peopling of the Pacific, Te Rangi Hiroa's masterpiece interweaves oral history, scholarship and personal reflections to recount the movements of seafarers from East Asia to the furthest corners of Polynesia. Out of print for many decades, Vikings of the Sunrise returns in this New Zealand Classics facsimile edition, with foreword by prominent anthropologist Paora Tapihana (Ngati Whakaue, Ngati Raukawa) that locates the work in a contemporary context.
