This monograph offers a rich and vivid reading of his work, placing his paintings and self-portraits at the heart of a journey marked by the tension between light and inner turmoil. From The Potato Eaters to Sunflowers, from The Bedroom in Arles to The Starry Night, the book highlights the work and the decisive moments in the life of an artist who profoundly transformed modern painting, and provides readers with the keys to understand its full depth.Between Paris, Amsterdam, and New York, this volume sheds light on the artist’s masterpieces and offers a clear, elegant, and accessible interpretation of his art.
