USA and The World 2017-2018

David M. Keithly combines professional writing with a wide range of business interests. A retired reserve officer, he held field-grade rank in two services.

The central theme of this volume on the United States and the world is the maintenance of global connections to manage the worldwide prosperity and security for itself and all nations. The goals for the future are fourfold; support a more secure world by the encouragement of settling negotiated disputes and agreements to lessen the event of wars; stimulate the U. S. economy by creating markets abroad and creating jobs to promote growth here in the United States; advance democracy, economic growth, and human rights around the world; and gain control over narcotics and simultaneously promote world health education and housing through financial assistance programs and contributions to international institutions. There is a ‘Recommended Reading’ list and a list of ‘Web Sites.’ There is no index, but black-and-white photographs and maps are provided. This volume is recommended for public, academic, business, and corporate libraries for their political science and economics collections.
