Sullivan’s behind-the-scenes The Untouchables is more than a traditional ‘making-of’ book. It’s a deep dive into the reality and mythology of The Untouchables series and film, a story of the author’s discovery of the magic of cinema, an appreciation of director Brian DePalma, and a gift to Sullivan’s father, who introduced him to the power of the movies. A wonderful feat of cinematic scholarship.
