This book presents comprehensive studies of charge density waves (CDW) in a high-Tc cuprate superconductor using x-ray scattering techniques under uniaxial pressure.
Hun-ho Kim gathered his first research experience studying ferroelectric domains using piezoresponse force microscopy at Seoul National University, Korea. He went on to perform a master study at the University of Stuttgart with a thesis prepared at the Max Planck Institute for Solid State Research, where he remained for his Ph.D. work His project was a new, challenging , and ultimately successful approach to understanding the complicated physics of cuprates.
