This book looks into the future of transport infrastructures through green transition, digital transformation, and modern transport infrastructure. It is divided into three parts. The first part provides an overview of green transition in transport infrastructures (eco-design and life cycle assessment, recycled and alternative materials, and bio-based materials and technologies). His activities involve research, teaching, and consulting in the general field of geotechnical and transportation engineering for 45 years.Alexandre Pinto is founder and technical manager of JETsj Geotecnia Lda and invited Professor at the Department of Civil Engineering, Architecture and Environment, Instituto Superior Técnico, University of Lisbon, Portugal. His activities involve consulting and teaching in the general field of geotechnical engineering for 30 years. José Neves graduated in Civil Engineering (PhD, MSc, BSc). He is an Associate Professor in the Department of Civil Engineering, Architecture and Environment, Instituto Superior Técnico, University of Lisbon, Portugal. He is a senior research member of the Civil Engineering Research and Innovation for Sustainability (CERIS), Portugal. Eduardo Fortunato is a Doctor of Philosophy in Civil Engineering from University of Porto and a Master of Science in Business Administration from University Institute of Lisbon, Portugal. He is Principal Researcher and member of the Board of Directors at National Laboratory for Civil Engineering (LNEC) and invited Full Professor at University of Porto, Portugal.
