Michel Lee Garrett ("Me-shell" // she/her) is an author, poet, and the editor of Transcendent Love. She has worked as an investigative reporter, the communications director of a U.S. Senate campaign, the chair of an advocacy-focused queer nonprofit, and the speechwriter to the president of a major research university. She is also the author of the crime fiction collection Born a Ramblin' Man: Fourteen Tales of Thieves, Killers, Vagabonds, and Lost Souls (Shotgun Honey, 2025). Her poetry has appeared from Red Branch Review, New Words Press, the Pennsylvania Center for the Book, and others.A high-femme diva, Michel can always be found serving a look, usually at local punk shows, women's hockey games, pro wrestling shows, or rooting for the Pittsburgh Pirates.
