Dr. Vicky Katsoni is anAssociate Professor at the Tourism Department of the Technological EducationalInstitute(TEI) of Athens (Greece). She is also teaching at the Greek OpenUniversity at the MSc program of Tourism Management. She holds a PhD in TourismMarketing Management and ICT Applications in Tourism, an MBA and a BA (Hons) inEconomics. Having worked for over twenty years as an academic in the tertiaryeducation, Dr. Katsoni is well-versed in academic multi-disciplinary researchand has participated in several European and National research projects. Herresearch interests include tourism marketing, digital tourism, ICTs and touristdevelopment, special forms of tourism and consumer behavior. She has published9 books on tourism, chapters in edited volumes, and numerous papers inpeer-reviewed academic journals. She is president of the nonprofit"International Association of Cultural and Digital Tourism" andmember of the editorial board of many scientific journals in tourism andmarketing.Dr. Anastasia Stratigea is an Associate Professor atthe National Technical University of Athens (NTUA), Department of Geography andRegional Planning. She is also teaching at the MSc Program of “Environment andDevelopment”, NTUA, Athens. She has a Diploma in Rural and SurveyingEngineering from Aristotle University of Thessaloniki and a PhD from NationalTechnical University of Athens, Greece. Her PhD has focused ICTs and RegionalDevelopment. She has participated in a number of EU and National Projectsrelating to planning and policy in the energy, tourism, agricultural andtransport sectors. She has published her work in a number of internationalconferences and journals. She is reviewer in a number of InternationalJournals. She is member of a variety of scientific networks (NECTAR, COST A22,EFONET, SMARTMED etc.). Her research interests are focusing on SustainableDevelopment, Spatial Planning, Urban and Regional Planning, RegionalDevelopment and Policy,Tourism and Regional Development,, Sustainable Tourism,Tourism Planning, Smart Tourism, and the Management of Cultural and NaturalResources.
