Undertaken in Dubai in 2023, the 'First Global Stocktake' under the Paris Agreement called for a tripling of installed global renewable energy capacity. Frédéric G. Sourgens is the James McCulloch Chair in Energy Law at Tulane University Law School and Director of the Tulane Center for Energy Law. He previously served as the Senator Robert J. Dole Distinguished Professor of Law at Washburn University School of Law. He serves or served on the Executive Council of the American Society of International Law (2021-2024), the Board of Directors of the American Branch of the International Law Association, and the Executive Committee of the Institute for Energy Law. He is Editor in Chief of the Investment Claims service published by Oxford University Press.Teddy Baldwin is a practicing international lawyer with extensive experience in international energy transactions and disputes. He has represented clients in energy matters in North America, South America, Europe, and Asia. His clients include both governments and energy and mining companies. He is a member of the Board of the International Law Students' Association.Catherine Banet is Professor and Head of Department of the Scandinavian Institute of Maritime Law, Energy and Resources Law at the Faculty of Law of the University of Oslo and Vice-Dean for International Relations. She is the Chair of the Board of the Norwegian Energy Law Association and a member of the Scientific Advisory Committee (SAC), Norwegian Research Center for Wind Energy (NorthWind), an academic research fellow of the Centre on Regulation in Europe (CERRE) and a Member of the Academic Advisory Group of the Section on Energy, Environmental and Infrastructure Law (SEERIL) of the International Bar Association (IBA).
