Daniel Béland is Director of the McGill Institute for the Study of Canada and James McGill Professor in the Department of Political Science at McGill University. He is Editor of the journal Policy and Society and a Fellow of the Royal Society of Canada. He has held visiting academic positions at the European University Institute, Harvard University, Heidelberg University, the University of Bremen, the University of Nagoya, the University of Southern Denmark, and the Woodrow Wilson International Center for Scholars. A student of comparative social and public policy, he has published more than 25 books and 230 journal articles.Rianne Mahon is Distinguished Research Professor with the Department of Sociology and Anthropology, Carleton University, and was previously Professor and CIGI Chair at the Balsillie School of International Affairs. In addition to many articles and chapters on various topics, she has co-edited numerous books. Her current work focuses on the gendering of global governance, with a particular focus on the transnational diffusion of the idea of a 'care economy'.Alison Smith is Associate Professor of Political Science at the University of Toronto. Her primary research expertise relates to housing and homelessness policy and governance in Canada. Her research articles have been published in the Canadian Journal of Political Science, Housing Studies, and the International Journal of Homelessness, among other venues. She is co-editing a book on the role of the provinces and housing policy in Canada.
