Narinder Singh excelled academically and received a gold medal in Graduation (B. Sc.) from Himachal Pradesh University, Shimla, India, in 2003. He obtained his post-graduation (M. Sc.) degree from Panjab University, India, in 2005. He qualified for two All India Level competitive examinations, namely, the University Grant Commission-National Eligibility Test (UGC-NET) and the Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) in 2005. He worked for over 18 years as Assistant Professor in 08 different higher education institutions. He received his Ph. D. degree from Indus International University, India, in 2021. He has published more than 10 peer-reviewed research articles, 02 conference proceedings, 06 chapters, and 01 book (as a sole author) for undergraduate students. He has supervised 12 postgraduate research projects and is currently guiding 2 Ph.D. students in the field of energy storage applications. Recently. He has edited one book titled “Next-generation 2D Nanomaterials for Sustainable Energy and Environment-oriented Applications, published by the Royal Society of Chemistry. His current area of interest includes green synthesis, properties, and applications of inorganic and organic nanostructures and their nanohybrids in energy storage devices and solar cells. Dr. Hushan Chand is a Marie Skłodowska-Curie Actions Postdoctoral fellow at Politecnico Di Milano, Milan, Italy. In the Marie Curie project, his work is based on the design of various single-atom catalysts and deciphering their catalytic potential in organic transformation reactions. He received his B.Sc., M.Sc., and M.Phil. degrees in Chemistry from Himachal Pradesh University, Shimla, India. Afterwards, he received his Ph.D. degree from the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Mandi, India, in 2023. In his Ph.D. he worked on “Two-dimensional heterogeneous catalysts for CO2 conversion and wastewater remediation. During his entire research journey, he published 30 publications in various top-notch journals and 1 patent. Besides this, Dr. Hushan has also worked as guest faculty in the Department of Industrial Chemistry, Sardar Patel University, Mandi-175001, Himachal Pradesh, India. Dr. Pooja Devi is a Senior Principal Scientist at CSIR-Central Scientific Instruments Organisation (CSIR-CSIO). She did her M. Tech from IIT Roorkee and PhD from AcSIR, New Delhi. Her research focuses on the design of Materials for hydrogen production, water/air pollutants degradation, and monitoring of environmental contaminants.Dr. Pooja has an impressive portfolio of over 102 research papers published in high-impact journals, and 23 book chapters. Her work has resulted into more than 4500 citations. She has also edited 7 books as lead editor, filed 3 patents, secured 2 design registrations, and 2 copyrights/trademarks. She has developed 4 technologies, with 2 successfully transferred to industry. Her contributions to science have been recognized through numerous prestigious awards, including the IIT Roorkee Distinguished Young Alumni Award (2024), NASI Young Scientist Platinum Jubilee Award (2021), INAE Young Engineer Award (2020), SERB Women Excellence Award (2020), IEI Young Engineer Award, and Haryana Yuva Vigyan Ratan Award (2019) among others. She has been honored with international fellowships such as the CSIR Raman Research Fellowship to visit Drexel University, USA; IUSSTF Water Advanced Research and Innovation (WARI) Fellowship, and the Canadian Commonwealth Fellowship. Dr. Pooja is also an active member of several national and international science academies, including the Global Young Academy (Germany), Indian National Academy of Engineers, Indian Academy of Sciences, National Academy of Sciences, and Indian National Young Academy of Sciences. She has represented India in BRICS Young Scientist Conclave and the SCO Young Scientist Conclave. Recently, she was recognized among the Eminent 125 Women in Science by the CII Compendium and listed in the top 2% of researchers globally, according to a Stanford University and Elsevier study in 2022 and 2023. She is also prolific orator and delivered more than 72 talks at national and international platform, and is coordinating science outreach activities in Chandigarh and Haryana schools at her institute level.
