Thirty years after Mihály Ficsor played a decisive role in the preparation, negotiation, and adoption of the two key World Intellectual Property Organisation (WIPO) treaties - the WIPO Copyright Treaty (WCT) and the WIPO Performances and Phonograms Treaty (WPPT) - the world has undergone profound technological change with the advent of AI, blockchain, NFTs, and social media sharing sites, while the law has attempted to keep pace with significant developments in treaty law, legislation, and case law.
