Mer information
Author Maggie Shaw creates her stories from her many and varied life experiences. A teenage runaway who made good despite undiagnosed Autistic Spectrum Disorder, Maggie writes as one who has walked the walk in recovery and spiritual development. Her degrees in science, divinity and church music, and her career as a Mental Health Dietitian, give a solid framework to the exciting adventure stories she loves to tell. The Scottish hills and Lakeland fells where her grandparents farmed often feature as landscapes in her work. She is also a church musician, composer and song writer, and many of her songs are inspired by the stories she writes. This is the fifth book Maggie has published through micropublisher Eregendal. Her other titles are The Vision and Beyond (2018), Diviner's Nemesis I: Avenger (2019), Diviner's Nemesis II - Retribution (2020) and The Eagle and The Butterfly (2020). She has broadcast music and short stories on Radio Carlisle, Cat Radio, and Red Shift Radio; and contributed articles to The St Raphael's Guild Chrism, The Chronicle, The Church of England Newspaper, and Soul and Spirit Magazine. Online, Maggie publishes through ArtSwarm, YouTube, Sound Cloud, Facebook and the Eregendal website www.eregendal.com .Maggie lives in Cheshire with her husband Alan.
Recensioner i media
Reviewer Anna Turowska: This novel is very well paced. It kept me wondering what will happen next. I laughed a lot and enjoyed all the shenanigans. The story reminded me so much of Louis de Funes movies: it is a comedy of errors just like "The Olsen Gang" from 1968. Its world is also very believable, I could picture Little Piddlington in any other place on Earth. The map helped with visualization. I loved all the characters, but especially Mike and the ladies of the Women's Institute. They were described with humor and just enough details for the reader to be able to picture then in their imagination. They are very likable, even Phil Farley who considers himself better because he is a Lord .All in all, great, funny, light story, told with imagination and a great sense of humor. Reviewer Roy Butler: A very good read. I laughed out loud several times. The research was excellent, including the detail about flying the helicopter. Years ago it would have made a great movie by J Arthur Rank or Ealing Studios.
