The FIVEFOLD MINISTRY Gifts

This is a handbook for Christian ministers and aspiring ministers but, just as much, a handbook for believers in general so they can understand the various types of ministers and what each ministry gift has to offer. Speaking of which, there are five such gifts: apostle, prophet, evangelist, pastor and teacher, as revealed in Ephesians 4:11-13.

This shows that not every minister is a pastor who oversees a local assembly and performs weddings or funerals. We have to get away from this one-dimensional concept because it's simply not biblical.

Just as important, this book reveals the main goal of ministers, which is to build people up through the ministry of the word, assist in their spiritual growth, and equip them for the works of service to which God calls them. We'll also look at what ministers are NOT supposed to do, such as abuse people spiritually, mentally or physically. Abuse is the misuse of power.

When you understand these things it'll set you free from religious myths about ministers and ministry, not to mention protect ministers from burn-out and people in general from potential manipulation or mistreatment. As the Lord said, "The truth will make you free."
