Sheron Fraser-Burgess is Professor of Social Foundations of Education/Multicultural Education at Ball State University, USA. Her research focuses on the political implications of social identity and positionality for education in democracy. This inquiry clusters around moral, political, and epistemological questions as they pertain to Black consciousness. Jessica Heybach is Associate Professor and Program Director of Graduate Studies in Educational Leadership at Florida International University, USA.
