Elias Deutscher works at the European Commission, Directorate-General for Competition. He is also an honorary Associate Professor at the School of Law and the Centre for Competition Policy at the University of East Anglia. His research focuses on the normative, conceptual and historical foundations of competition law. He is the author of Competition Law and Democracy (Cambridge University Press 2024). Justin Lindeboom is an Associate Professor of Law at the University of Groningen. His research focuses on EU and global competition law, EU internal market law, and European and comparative constitutional law. He is Deputy Editor-in-Chief of European Papers: A Journal on Law and Integration. Stavros Makris is a Lecturer in Law at University College London. In his research he explores how economic knowledge, legal reasoning and values interact in competition law, and how competition law can incorporate new knowledge and remain responsive to changing societal and epistemic circumstances without losing its integrity. Stavros is also a senior fellow of the Centre for Law Economics and Society (CLES) at University College of London Faculty of Laws.
