Private Detective Gabriel Dixon's world has always revolved around three things: Booze, Broads and bullets. However, when the door opened one sleepy afternoon, he knew his life would never be the same ever again.

She was trouble and he knew it, but the attraction was too powerful to ignore. Trouble was nothing knew to Dixon, but then he's nothing knew too trouble. He eats it up the way a dog laps up a plateful of water, but his time, even he may not be able to get away from the shady goons and mysterious mugs that follow him around.

What Dixon doesn't know is that there is a powerful secret that ties together everyone he meets in a dangerous game of twister that will leave more dead bodies and broken hearts than a day at the races.

This story is laced with 40's jargon and contains more twists and turns than a plateful of spaghetti.

This novel is reminiscent of the film-noir detective style movies and novels that defined much of that era. Guns were called "heaters", and women were called "dames" and danger was nothing more than a badly cooked steak.
