Peter C.Y. Chow has been Professor of Economics at the City College and Graduate Center of the City University of New York, USA, since 1986. He was previously also a research associate at the National Bureau of Economic Research and a contractual consultant of the World Bank. He specialized in trade and development, with a focus on comparative developments in latecomers of industrialization in Asia-Pacific region. His recent research focused on the economic transformation and integration in the Indo-Pacific countries, technological rivalry, industrialization in the newly industrialized countries.
