Talks on the Rotterdam Rules

In November 2012 the Axel Ax:son Johnson Institute of Maritime and other Transport law, Stockholm University, together with Åbo Akademi University arranged an international maritime law conference in Stockholm.

A number of leading international maritime law experts presented papers at the conference on the Rotterdam Rules. Many of the experts participated in the negotiations of the convention and also in the CMI preparatory works. Others have preparared the implementation of the Rotterdam Rules at the national level.

This volume contains some of the papers from the conference dealing with issues such as carrier liability, shipper's obligations and transport documents under the Rotterdam Rules and issues with regard to the implementation of the Rules in the Nordic countries.
