Sustainability and Intergenerational Justice

Without sustainability and intergenerational justice, today's children will no longer have the opportunity to shape their lives in the same way as their parents. Educational equity, poverty reduction, children's health and safety, gender equality and climate protection are crucial components of sustainable and intergenerational justice policies. The basic assumption of this book is that the needs of today's generation of children are not being taken into account in these policy areas, with the result that existing inequalities and injustices will increase.
