Danielle Defaye, Ph.D. (1984) in Animal Biology and Physiology, Université of Bordeaux I, has been appointed as Associate Professor at the Muséum national d'Histoire naturelle, Paris since 1999. She has published extensively on the taxonomy of freshwater Copepoda, including the World Directories of Copepoda of Inland Waters, I, II, III (with B.H. Dussart).
