Bastiaan van Apeldoorn. is Reader in International Relations at VU University Amsterdam. His research focuses on the link between state and social power within the changing global political economy. He is the author of multiple books amongst which Transnational Capitalism and the Struggle over European Integration (Routledge, 2002) and (with Naná de Graaff) American Grand Strategy and Corporate Elite Networks (Routledge, forthcoming).Naná de Graaff is Lecturer in International Relations at VU University Amsterdam. Her main research interests are geopolitics and global governance of energy, corporate elite networks and US foreign policy. Recent publications have appeared in e.g. European Journal of International Relations, International Journal of Comparative Sociology and Global Networks.Henk W. Overbeek is Professor of International Relations at VU University Amsterdam. His current interests are China’s rise and the European financial crisis. His most recent (co-edited) books are Neoliberalism in Crisis (Palgrave) and Globalisation and European Integration (Routledge).
