State of the World Population

Through the voices of seven young people around the world, the Youth Supplement illustrates how issues in the main report are related to youth. Rather than presenting a lot of data and analysis, the Youth Supplement tells real to life stories of individuals. As climate change’s impacts intensify, young people are confronted with an increasing number of challenges and will also be tasked with the long-term challenge of solving a problem that began even before they were even born. Young people must already be fully involved in the response to climate change. Young people are affected as much as everyone else and therefore deserve to have a seat at the table and to have their concerns taken seriously.
