Richard Hester is a Senior Lecturer in Criminology Studies at Oxford Brookes University and former police officer with Thames Valley Police (England), specialising in football policing and public events. He has worked in Higher Education since 2016, researching on football policing, public order policing and sports-based crime prevention.Pete Harris is currently Associate Professor in Criminology and Youth Studies at Oxford Brookes University. After working as a street-based youth and community worker he moved into Higher Education and has now worked as a lecturer and researcher for 15 years with an interdisciplinary background in youth work, education and criminology.Conor Murray is a Senior Lecturer in Criminology and an active researcher at Ulster University. He has published widely, including the co-edited book Crime, Justice and Religion (Routledge 2023) and the monograph Young Men, Masculinities and Imprisonment (2023). His research focuses on young adulthood, gender, policing, religion, and sport-based interventions.Brendan Coyle is a Senior Lecturer in Criminology and Learning, Teaching and Quality Director for Social and Policy Sciences at Ulster University. With specialisms in young adult development, maturation and desistance, Brendan’s research addresses the interface between individuals’ constructions of maturity, criminal justice policies and practices, and processes of desistance from crime.
