Boris Y. Zaslavsky is Chief Scientific Officer at Cleveland Diagnostics, Inc., which he co-founded in 2013. He trained as a bioanalytical chemist at Moscow State University before joining the USSR Academy of Sciences. He moved to the United States in 1991 to take up a visiting scholar position at Cornell Medical College in New York City, and later worked at KV Pharmaceuticals and Argonne National Laboratory. In 1996, he co-founded Analiza, Inc. Dr. Zaslavsky developed analytical applications of extraction in aqueous two-phase systems and pioneered Solvent Interaction Analysis, used for quality control of biopharmaceuticals and for clinical testing aimed at early cancer detection.
