"Our dominant conceptions of justice are treated as constitutive of social life, not merely idealized critical reflections on it. A deeply challenging work, in the very best of ways."David Theo Goldberg, University of California, Irvine"Nasar Meer has just offered a most remarkable take on the classic canon of political philosophy, one that may finally respond to the often despairing call of the critical social sciences and humanities for a truly grounded, transformative concept of justice. This is powerful, precise and passionate writing."Adrian Favell, Radical Humanities Laboratory, University College Cork
