This book addresses the basic physical phenomenon of small-angle scattering (SAS) of neutrons, x-rays or light from complex hierarchical nano- and micro-structures.
Eugen Anitas received his PhD in theoretical physics from West University of Timisoara, Romania in 2009. He is currently leading the “Theory of Solid State and Models in Condensed Matter” group in Bogoliubov Laboratory of Theoretical Physics, Joint Institute for Nuclear Research, Dubna, Russia. His main research interests are focused on theoretical and experimental structural analysis of complex systems at the nano- and micro-scales.
Introduction.- Fractals: definitions and generation methods.- Small-angle scattering technique.- Small-angle scattering from fractals.- Conclusions and Outlook.
