Poet, lyricist, dog-walker and columnist, Matt Harvey writes about all sorts of things, performs up and down the country and is often heard on the radio. His books include The Hole in the Sum of My Parts, Where Earwigs Dare, Mindless Body Spineless Mind and The Element in the Room. His musicals include Rumpelstiltskin. His dog, Tess, often sits beside him as he writes. ‘Be the person your dog thinks you are,’ they say. Tess looks at him reproachfully, her eyes full of questions.ClaudiaSchmid grew up in a creative household in Basel, Switzerland. She studied Artand Dance in Zürich, London and Java. Whilst living in Zürich she illustrated twochildren’s books published by Peter Hammer Verlag. For “Schabernack” shereceived the prestigious Troisdorf price for book illustration. Since2003 she is based in Totnes, Devon where she on a regular basis exhibits herdrawings, paintings and objects. Aswell as collaborating on books with Matt Harvey she has created a range ofgreeting cards, notebooks, wrapping paper and tea towels. She is also thecreator of Dutzi soft toys made fromrecycled fabrics.
